More adventures with the Reaktor user library. This is the first part of a series of semi, self generating abstract pieces called Alaephon. There is a basic starting point with input from me, but a succession of odd effects, delays and endless reverb shape the overall outcome. I hope I am not alone in enjoying the sound that this makes.

Sonic murmurs from a 5am wake-up. Most people check email, FB, Twitter, I open up Reaktor. Two wholly unconnected sounds are overlayed and ever-so-slightly out of sync. Clears my head for another busy day.

This is a very experimental piece of rhythmic noise. Make of it what you will. It came about by accident, just relentless fidding with effects upon a few small self-made loops, most likely applied in a way they were never intended to be utilised. It is the leading contender so far for my little boy Niall’s first animation, ‘The Witness’. More on that over the next few weeks.
