It’s cold, it’s frosty and I made this little stretch drone whilst wrapped in the warmth of my duvet early this morning. Not feeling particularly creative, but enjoyed this enough to share it.

Another experiment scanning the shortwave bands. Seeking out some odd melodic interlude and once captured, adding reverb and a few other effects and tricks to transform it into a sleepy, filtered soundscape, reminiscent of the imperfect signal, bandwidth and output of my little 1970′s transistor radio.

The final piece in this series of five. It’s an odd one though. Whilst not detached, it’s haunting, dissonant and unsettling. I visited the beaches, experienced a range of emotions and heard voices of every course. When we look at the world today with its economic and political turmoil, we must remember the losses suffered and rememeber that love and respect is the only way forward for us all.
