This is very important to me so please share it as much as possible. Everything I have ever made is now free. Please consider donating to your local Autism charity or support group.

If Bandcamp downloads run out, run over to SoundCloud where I am adding everything in 320K MP3 format. You can just tweet or message me and I’ll send you an alternative link. Thank you. x

Latest release on Bandcamp – Ghosts – Free Download

Just a little announcement to let you know that my latest release ‘ghosts’ is now available to download for free from Bandcamp. Grab it while you can as Bandcamp does limit the number of free versions.

355 – For Steve

Hearing of the passing of a Twitter and Facebook friend, Steve Morton, last month knocked me for six. He’d died a few weeks earlier and although I’d noticed I’d not heard from him for a while, the thought that anything was wrong never crossed my mind. They say online friends are not true friends, but his kind and supportive words always gave me a sense of the connection of being something real. I’ve struggled to create anything over recent weeks. I miss his tweets. He would have told me not to worry and be patient, knowing that the flow would return at some point.

This slow, meditative piece, a reworking of ‘Okno‘ from 2009, is for him, his family and anyone lucky enough to have known him… real-life or otherwise.

‘Recycler’ will be up on BandCamp in a few days.

325 – Alba

Spurred on by yesterday’s little piece, I turned my attention to using a couple of single second samples of Judie Tzuke’s vocal, from the magical Stay With Me Till Dawn, to create a gentle lullaby soundscape. Made in the early hours, just before the sun came up.

All done in Ableton Live using multiple instances of Simpler and internal effects.

Ambient Compilation 32

Here is my thirty-second compilation for you all to (hopefully) enjoy.

Consider checking out all my releases on Bandcamp? You can grab pristine versions of most of my work so far and have a variety of formats to choose from. They are free to download, but if you can contribute a just couple of pounds/euro/dollars, it would help and delight me v.much.

Thanks for your support.

There are two zip files, one for lower bitrate MP3s and the other for the rather better 320kbps files.

All of the tracks here are free for you to download and distribute.

311 to 320 – 96kbps – zip file (54Mb)

319 – Utah

The final piece in this series of five. It’s an odd one though. Whilst not detached, it’s haunting, dissonant and unsettling. I visited the beaches, experienced a range of emotions and heard voices of every course. When we look at the world today with its economic and political turmoil, we must remember the losses suffered and rememeber that love and respect is the only way forward for us all.

318 – Sword

The fourth of five pieces born out of my trip to Arromanches. I’m under the weather with a severe cold, so my ears are not great and I have particularly nasty tinnitus. That said, sometimes this makes a piece a little unique, despite its melodic simplicity.

317 – Gold

The third piece reflecting the emotional impact of my vist to the Normandy beaches and Arromanches. Particularly poignant given tomorrow and Sunday’s moments of remembrance.

315 – Juno

The first of a few pieces influenced by my recent trip to France, where I visited and was moved by the Normandy beaches of Arromanches.
