I will still be working from home, but essentially for a new employer. All a bit nerve-wracking, but exciting nonetheless. Life feels like it’s about to burst open…

I cannot play the Piano as such, but I do like to put Ableton into record, add a lot of effects to a piano sound and just see what comes out. I set the white keys to play a harmonic minor scale, but you can still hear the odd bum note. Some octave layering was used to thicken things and little quantisation was used to tidy up any truly stray timings, but this is essentially the output of a live stream of conciousness from v.late last night.

Erik Satie it isn’t, but I like it a little bit nonetheless.

For the past few days I’ve been stuck with a bad cold, headaches, sore throat… pretty much the works. Another bad night of sleep led me to making this simple piece in the early hours. It’s not very complex, but at least it’s a little something that allows me to express how low I am feeling, but with the knowledge that I should be starting to feel better over the next few days. Forgive the rather grimy mix, my ears are not quite right either.

I hate lost weekends.
