			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My creative juices are not quite as flowing as they sometimes can be so in the early hours of the morning as a light flurry of snow was settling outside, I decided to try and make something generative in Ableton Live using a Max for Live step sequencer and its randomisation feature. Just like the individual snowflakes, as each note landed and was captured the overall piece seems to have a natural feel to it.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This lunchtime as the sunshine broke through for the first time in a few days, I noodled about with a small ten second snippet from Elbow&#8217;s Lippy Kids. Guy&#8217;s (Craig&#8217;s?) simple, yet truly moving, two note piano chord progression was pulled apart stretched, reversed, layed and effected to reflect the magic of the light that was brightening my mood, just as Elbow&#8217;s music does for me also. I just hope he and the rest of the boys won&#8217;t mind my little twist on their wonderful work. This release, after all, is not a commercial one.</p>
